Polsat was the most efficient television broadcaster in Poland in 2010 amongst the country’s leading station, according to a study undertaken by the national newspaper Rzeczpospolita.
It generated net profits of PLN234,600 (€59,072) per employee, while TVN managed PLN186,700 and TVP only PLN5,200.

At the same time, sales generated per employee amounted to around PLN1.1 million at both Polsat and TVN, with the latter slightly in the lead, and those at TVP a much more modest PLN398,600, including receiver licence fees.
Polsat is also expected to maintain its position this year, thanks in part to the continued success of its thematic channels.
